DESCRIPTION:Columbia Dance presents a sensory-friendly performance of its 
 original Fort Vancouver Nutcracker on Friday\, December 18\, at Skyview Co
 ncert Hall in Vancouver\, Washington.\nDesigned for audiences who benefit 
 from a more relaxed theater environment\, this is a “no-shush” perform
 ance featuring lower music volume\, modified lighting\, house lights remai
 ning on\, and relaxed audience expectations. Audience members are welcome 
 to move around\, make noise\, leave the theater\, and return as needed.\nT
 he Fort Vancouver Nutcracker is a large-scale community production featuri
 ng more than 100 student dancers and guest artists. Set in 1840s Fort Vanc
 ouver\, it combines classical ballet with the history and imagination of t
 he Pacific Northwest.\nColumbia Dance is a nonprofit arts organization fou
 nded in 1989\, with a mission to enrich lives in the community through dan
 ce and create opportunities for more people to experience live performance
